“Entre los juncos y la baja tarde, que raro que me llame Federico”
Recordé este fragmento de un poema de García Lorca, luego de ver las transparencias que tomé a la luz escasa en la tarde bogotana, de la esquina rosa, lugar de tentación, de grandes tensiones entre normalidad y contravención, lugar transitado por delincuentes al igual que por estudiantes universitarios y parroquianos de barrio.
Raudal es el resultado de exposiciones fotográficas largas, en las que el movimiento del trafico se aprecia barrido como el fluir recio de un rio, obstáculo a la entrada del lugar del “pecado”.

“Here in the reeds in the late afternoon, how strange to be named Federico.”
I was reminded of this fragment of a poem by García Lorca after seeing the slides I took in the waning light of the Bogotá evening: the pink corner, a place of temptation and tension between normality and contravention, transited by criminals and university students and neighborhood residents alike.
Torrent is the result of long photographic exposures, wherein the moving traffic seems blurred like the strong current of a river, an obstacle to entering the place of “sin.”
